Synopsis: Urânia Munzanzu, a black woman, director, and screenwriter, documents and participates in the journey alongside six other women who inspire her and with whom she shares dreams, all of them recognized for their artistic expressions and struggles against racism. They are: Conceição Evaristo, Sueli Carneiro, Mirtes Renata, Luedji Luna, Erica Malunguinho, and Carla Akotirene. Together, they travel to Nigeria, Benin, and Senegal, tracing one of the slave trade routes that supplied human cargo to the largest slave-owning country in the world: Brazil. After their experiences in this territory, the women establish new routes to freedom together. A film that presents the politics of black insurgency and the courage of women in search of other futures in their country of origin.
